Geothermal climate control system installation
We take care of making the most of the Earth’s energy for your home’s climate control.
Geothermal systems tap into the earth’s energy to draw out heat and regulate temperature by either heating or cooling the water in your system.
Today, geothermal climate control stands out as one of the most efficient methods for generating both heat and cooling.
Geothermal climate control is ideal for:
- Homes with space to build a well
- Homes seeking a fully integrated climate control solution
- Homes with existing or planned installations of radiators, underfloor heating or fan coils
- Homes transitioning away from fossil fuels

Installing a geothermal system requires drilling into the ground, which can reach depths of up to 120 metres.
There are also administrative fees (ICIO fees and waste fees) that vary depending on the local council, which are borne by the customer.

Is it necessary to sign up for a maintenance service?
Common issues include refrigerant gas leaks, electronic system errors, water leaks in the circuit and circuit recalibration, with repair costs typically ranging from €100 to €400. For both cost-effectiveness and safety, it’s advisable to keep your installations up to date with annual maintenance.
ClimaProtec’s climate control maintenance service includes periodic inspections and seasonal preparations. Additionally, if a repair is needed, you can call our breakdown service.
For these reasons, we recommend selecting a maintenance plan that best suits your home’s needs. You can explore all ClimaProtec maintenance plans here.
Are periodic inspections required for geothermal systems?
According to RD 1027/2007, climate control systems with an Np of <12 kW must be inspected every 4 years, and systems between 12<Np<70 kW must be inspected every 2 years.
You can contract our annual maintenance service to ensure your installations are always up to date.
*Np = Nominal thermal power. This refers to the unit’s heating or cooling capacity, usually expressed in kilowatts (kW).
